The best combination of nature and culture. Approximately 43,000 flamingos have been recorded in the Yucatan Peninsula, most of them nest and breed in the reserve of the Rio Lagartos Biosphere. During the tour your guide will point out and help identify some of the many species of birds that live and visit the area like: Great blue heron, tiger heron, snowy white egrets, darters, spoonbills, frigates, white ibis,Common black eagle, ospreys, storks, kingfishers... a total of 395 species of birds live and visit the reserve. Ek Balam is characterized by its beauty. It's the most recently open to the public archaeological site and therefore the least visited. Research in this ancient Mayan city still continues and there are still new discoveries. The stucco mural is unique and you can see how the Maya decorated their buildings.
